     National Geographics

                                                   By Gary Bryant

Do you need something to do with that collection of
National Geographics? Here are just a few suggestions you might
     consider.

      1) Neatly stacked, they can be used as a step stool to reach high
         shelves.

      2) When crumpled up, page by page, they can produce interesting
color patterns when ignited in your fireplace.

      3) They are great for filling unused storage areas.

      4) National Geographics can always be used as 'pretend inventory'
         at your next garage sale!

      5) Tightly stacked, National Geographics make excellent boat
         ballast.

      6) National Geographics are an excellent source of fiber for the
many one and two celled animals that may reside in your attic.

      7) In groups of ten or more, National Geographics are great wheel
chocks when needed to hold a car still while fixing a flat tire.

      8) After individually gluing the pages together, National
Geographics make interesting bathroom floor tiles.

      9) Strewn about your yard, National Geographics aid in
retarding weed growth and other forms of life requiring
         sunlight.

     10) Finally, you can use National Geographics to play
The National Geographics game. To play, you and a friend
race the clock to find one photo layout with the correct
         caption displayed underneath it.

If you take the time, I'm sure you could find many other
uses for National Geographics. But please stop making jokes about
how many you have and how you can't get rid of them.
