INSTALL.TXT Directions for installing TRAVEL SEARCH Regions. Last
edited, Sept., 1993

TRAVEL SEARCH is easy to install. The programs must be extracted to a
high density diskette in order to use the automated installation.

Put the diskette into a diskette drive of your PC computer (usually A or B).
Display the prompt for that drive (e.g., A:> or B:>). Type INSTALL and
press ENTER.

Directions will appear on your computer screen. You will select a hard
drive (usually C). Files will be decompressed, installed on your hard
drive and verified. You will be asked if your CONFIG.SYS file can be
modified. Say "yes" unless you want to modify CONFIG.SYS yourself. If
you do your own modification, set buffers = 30 and files = 40.

After the database has been installed, remove the diskette. If your
CONFIG.SYS file has been modified, reboot your computer.

A TRAVEL SEARCH directory will have been created. It will have a name
that starts with TS and ends with DIR. Regions have names such as TSWCDIR
(West Coast) or TSNEDIR (North East). Directory names are as follows:

		TSADIR Mid-Atlantic states
		TSWDIR Midwest
		TSNEDIR Northeast
		TSPDIR Plains states
		TSRDIR Rockie Mountain states
		TSSDIR Southern states
		TSSEDIR Southeast
		TSSWDIR Southwest
		TSWCDIR West Coast

The Connecticut, Massachusetts "demo"that you have installed here will be
named TSDIR.

Please be aware that the name of the Directory is critical. FILES MUST BE
PLACED INTO THE CORRECTLY NAMED DIRECTORY IN ORDER FOR THE PROGRAM TO RUN.
Do not attempt to assign directory names other than the ones assigned by
the program.

Access TRAVEL SEARCH by typing TSTRAVEL at any TRAVEL SEARCH directory
prompt. Directions will appear on the screen as you search the database.
Read the file, TSINFO.TXT, here, for some additional hints.
