FIXING A FLAT TIRE
text/0/38
     By far the most common
failure is a flat tire. Prepared
with some practice, you can fix a
flat in minutes. If you have never
done this before, the place to try
it is not on the road. Get a
yard-sale junker bike and practice
fixing it's flat tires several
times. If it's tires aren't flat,
puncture them with a sharp object.

Removing a Front Wheel
text/330/61
Let out any remaining air in
the tire. Remove the axle nuts.
They unscrew counter-clockwise,
like the lid of a pickle jar.
Many bikes also have some safety
devices or plates under the axle
nuts, which you should remove
also. Remove the wheel, being
careful not to damage the front
brake pads.
