------------------------------------------------------------

NameTracK is a dedicated Name-Tracking Database and
Mailing-List Management program designed to offer
simplicity of operation. It includes all of the useful
features needed to Enter, Edit, Sort, Copy between
MULTIPLE databases, CODE, and track your clients,
prospects, and friends, or simply track a Company by Name
and Address.

To access the Main Menu, press the [/] Key. A bar will
appear across the top of the screen with six possible select-
ions. Press the first letter of the desired category, and a
pull-down menu will appear. Press the first letter of the
selected item, or use the arrow keys to place the cursor on
the desired function and then press ENTER. To Return to
the Database operations from the pull-down menu, Press the
ESCape Key twice. (ESC ESC)

You can SPEED SEARCH by LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, COMPANY NAME,
RECORD NUMBER, or by any user selected CODES. The [PgDn] or
[+] and [PgUp] or [-] Keys will rapidly move you up and down
through the database one record at a time.

The complete database can be "conditioned" or made EXCLUSIVE
to only records meeting the CODE criteria, and produce
REPORTS, LABELS or LETTERS exclusive to records
containing the requested CODE. Records can also be coded
by TYPE, SOURCE or by CITY, ADDRESS, STATE, or ZIP CODE
RANGE. Press [F4] or [K] to create a "Keyed" database.

To clear a database of "Keyed" conditions, Press the [Home]
Key, and the program will clear all previous commands, from
the database and return to the default status.

NameTrack allows you to track names by activity dates, and
provides four lines for comments.

You can create additional databases instantly, and you can
COPY / SAVE the contents of one or more records or databases
from one database to another. After "Keying" a database,
press the [Alt F] key and follow the prompts.

A special feature useful for the Quick printing of a single
envelope sends a signal to the printer moving the
printer output down 8 lines and over 50 spaces for
standard printing of the Name, Company, and Address on a
number 10 envelope. The X,Y position can be changed by
accessing the NameTracK SETUP DEFAULTS Menu.

If you would like to store your NameTracK DATABASE FILES in
separate sub-directories for neat organization of your
various lists, you can access all files from the original
\NAMETRAC sub-directory.

The first and simplest method is to press the [ALT-G] Key
combination, or go to the MAIN (Pull Down) MENU, Select FILE,
and then select NEW. At the prompt, ENTER the complete
[D:]\PATH\FILENAME of the DATABASE you would like to access.

The second method which provides flexible file handling is
to include the \NAMETRAC sub-directory in your PATH command.
(PATH=[D]:\NAMETRAC) TYPE NameTracK or "NT" and Press ENTER
from the subdirectory containing your separate data files.
NameTracK will load thru the path command, and will prompt
you with the NameTracK SETUP screen. Enter the name of the
desired DEFAULT DATABASE at the prompts, and the selected
database will be loaded on all subsequent startups. Note:
When using this method, you may have to copy *.lbl and *.frm
files to the new sub-directory if you need to use the dBase
compatible label and report formats. Also, the NTHELP.TXT
file will have to be copied to the current directory if you
need to access the [F1] OPERATION MANUAL.

NameTracK is fully compatible with the dBase III file
structure, so dBase III users also have the ability to write
their own programs to utilize the data, or to create
customized reports or label formats for special projects.

You may also print out a copy of this information, by typing
[COPY NTHELP.TXT PRN] at the DOS prompt, and then pressing
ENTER.
