  CONTAX adds a new twist to the famous RENJU/GOMOKU game theme -
I have found it very, very addictive, with much improved tense and
tactical game play when compared to the original game.
  The underlying principle is the same - both white and black take
turns to place pieces on the board, and the first to get a line of
five wins. However in CONTAX you MAY ONLY MOVE TO EMPTY SQUARES NEXT
TO BOTH WHITE AND BLACK PIECES! This rule shapens up the tactical
play considerably - every time you move, you give your opponent new
squares to play to! The forcefulness of play is also increased -
since you have fewer move options you can eventually force your
opponent (or be forced!) into playing weak moves that give you
the desired square. Don't take my word for it - try beating the
computer! If you find you lose all the time, you can put the
computer on a lower IQ with the F4 command.
