The initial public release of Zephyr is now available. To retrieve it, FTP to ATHENA-DIST.MIT.EDU (18.71.0.38), login as anonymous, password username@host, and cd to /pub/zephyr/dist. It is in two compressed tar files: zephyr.src.tar.Z is the source code (at patchlevel 3). zephyr.doc.tar.Z is some documentation. There are additional files available, primarily for the convenience of those who have retrieved earlier versions of the software: patch1 is the first patch file. patch2 is the second patch file. patch3 is the third patch file. instop.tar.Z is an update to the installation/operations manual (this is packaged separately from the documentation for convenience only--the same version appears in zephyr.doc.tar.Z). Unpack zephyr.doc.tar.Z, and print doc/instop/instop.PS (PostScript file) or read doc/instop/instop.tex (LaTeX input file) for instructions on compiling and installing Zephyr. Please send any bug reports to zephyr-bugs@athena.mit.edu. John Kohl 26 December 1989 /* Copyright 1987,1988,1989 by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology All rights reserved.
