Back in February, I requested on alt.security and comp.unix.admin
information about security policies at academic institutions. I
received a wealth of assistance. There were 39 such institutions with
written policies available, and 5 networks. In addition, I was
directed to 2 R(equest) F(or) C(omments) documents and Curry's
"Improving the Security on Your Unix System." I would like to thank
you all for helping me with this and to summarize the results.

The following files are almost entirely from two sources:
LISTSERV@UNMVM.BITNET and The Electronic Frontier Foundation
(EFF.ORG).

The exceptions are: GEORGIA (from mcovingt@aisun1.ai.uga.edu); OSU
(Oregon State U., from crowede@ucs.orst.edu); STANFORD (from
aeliza@gsb-yen.stanford.edu); OHIOST* (from pagano@mhuxo.att.com);
RFC1281 (from pagano@mhuxo.att.com and collins@prl.philips.nl); and
CCNY and UMICH (the latter from pagano@mhuxo.att.com), which we
entered from written text. (If anyone would like the last 2, please
let me know.)
