Building DE:

There are several ways to build this release of DE.

- DE built as part of ISODE-8.0
is the normal way of building DE at this release. Instructions for this
  build are in README.ISODE

- DE built against ISODE-8.0, but not built within the main release. This
may help builds against binary ISODE distributions. Instructions for
  this build are in README.ISODE

- LDAP DE
builds a version of DE that uses LDAP (the Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol) to talk to an LDAP daemon that then talks to your DSA. You must
have built the LDAP libraries and daemon before building this version
of DE. Instructions fot this build are in README.LDAP

- DOS-DE, built on an MS-DOS personal computer
to build DOS-DE go into the `dos-de' directory and see the `README.TXT' file
for instructions. Before building this release you must have built the LDAP
libraries on the PC on which you are going to build DOS-DE.
