This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
for use with network management protocols in TCP/IP-based internets.
In particular, it describes a representation of the SNMP parties
defined in RFC 1351 as objects defined according to the Internet
Standard SMI.  These definitions are consistent with the SNMP Security
protocols set forth in RFC 1352.  This RFC is the product of the SNMP
Security Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard Protocol.

This document specifies an IAB standards track protocol for the
Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for
improvements.  Please refer to the current edition of the "IAB
Official Protocol Standards" for the standardization state and status
of this protocol.  Distribution of this memo is unlimited.

This announcement is sent to the IETF list and the RFC-DIST list.
