                         MANAGEMENT  BULLETIN

  The DDN MANAGEMENT BULLETIN is distributed online by the DDN Network
  Information Center under DISA contract as a means of communicating
  official policy, procedures and other information of concern to
  management personnel at DDN facilities.  Back issues may be read
  through the TACNEWS server ("@n" command at the TAC) or may be
  obtained by FTP (or Kermit) from the NIC.DDN.MIL host [192.112.36.5]
  using login="anonymous" and password="guest".  The pathname
  for bulletins is ddn-news/ddn-mgt-bulletin-nn.txt (where "nn" is the
  bulletin number).

 Subject: Transition of Management of DISN-NT CISCO IP Routers
 
 1.  As of 13 Jan 1993, DISA will transfer the monitoring and control of the  
     DISN-NT CISCO Internet Protocol Routers and the responsibility for managing
     their store-and -orward function between MILNET and NSFNET to the DISN
     Monitoring Center in Columbus, Ohio.  After 13 Jan, all problem calls
     concerning these assets should be directed to the Columbus, Ohio DISN
     Level II monitoring center, DSN 850-8080, Commercial 614-692-8080.
 
 2.  Note that the MILNET MC will continue to control the MILNET Butterfly
     mailbridges and their function of supplying dynamic routing information
     to MILNET-connected IPRs.  Problems associated with these devices should be
     reported to the MILNET MC, 1-800-451-7413.  
 
 3.  Since the functions of the mailbridges and the DISN-NT IPRs are so closely
     related, you may have problems that you cannot assign to a specific
     device/network.  In that case, you may contact either monitoring center for
     assistance.
