About 1 year ago I had some serious problems, and had to run Drivepro which worked for about 700 cylinders of a total of 1000, and put 386BSD on the good part of the drive, and DOS on the bad part. A few months after putting linux on in stead (Feb of this year, I had to run drivepro again. DOS right now is on and shows about 340K in bad sectors. I am hoping that when I install Linux again in a week or two that I won't have problems, but if I do I will have to buy a new drive, and it won't be a Seagate this time.
