Hi, Sorry for not providing the 3.5 boot image with the CDROM release. I have made an experimental universal image of a 3.5 inch boot disk to install Trans-Ameritech CDROM. I only tested it with the Sony CDU31A that I have at home, but the kernel (version 99 p. 13) should also support Sony 535, Sound Blaster and SCSI CDROMS. The installation is pretty straightforward - if you get uuencoded version via email, uudecode and uncompress it first. Then rawrite or dd the 3.5 inch boot floppy. Reboot with it and watch the messages go by. Your CDROM should be recognized. If you have any problems, please let me know. As a side note, if you want to use this kernel with support for most SCSI cards, some ethernet cards, sound boards etc. you can later mount the same floppy with "mount -t minix /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy" and copy the zImage from it. Then dd it to another floppy or use with LILO after configuring it with rdev for your system. Happy hacking! -Alex.
