Gcc 2.4.5 source code is available from any gnu ftp sites, like
anonymous@prep.ai.mit.edu:pub/gnu/gcc-2.4.5.tar.gz and
anonymous@ftp.uu.net:packages/gnu/gcc-2.4.5.tar.gz. It compiles right
out of box. Just unpack the source code and do 

	configure [i386-linux|i486-linux] --prefix=/usr

You should follow the instructions in INSTALL.
