To install, type "make install"
This installs Maelstrom in /usr/local/bin, and puts it's data files
in /usr/local/lib/Maelstrom.
You can change these installation directories by editing the "Makefile"
The "MAELSTROM_LIB" environment variable tells Maelstrom where to look
for its data files, if not in the standard directory (/usr/local/lib/Maelstrom)

You can tell Maelstrom to use a private colormap in X11 by giving it
the "-privatecmap" option. This is currently the only command line
argument Linux Maelstrom supports. "... uh, Beavis, he's wrong."
"Shaddup Butthead!"

You can change the gamma correction by giving it the "-gamma N" option,
where 'N' is a value from 0-8. You only have to do this once. The
level of gamma correction is saved in your ~/.Maelstrom-data file.

To run Maelstrom, type "Maelstrom" at a prompt.
Make sure the directory where you installed it (/usr/local/bin)
is in your execution path.

Enjoy!
