It says in /var/lib/dpkg/available, that it's 1.0.3, but it could propably be a typo or something there.. I'll try upgrading to a newer dpkg. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Message received at debian-bugs-done: From cus.cam.ac.uk!iwj10 Sun Oct 15 18:12:50 1995 Return-Path: Received: from pixar.com by mongo.pixar.com with smtp (Smail3.1.28.1 #15) id m0t4e6k-00063aC; Sun, 15 Oct 95 18:12 PDT Received: from bootes.cus.cam.ac.uk by pixar.com with SMTP id AA00329 (5.67b/IDA-1.5 for debian-developer-pipe@mongo.pixar.com); Sun, 15 Oct 1995 18:12:24 -0700 Received: by bootes.cus.cam.ac.uk (Smail-3.1.29.0 #36) id m0t4e6b-000BzvC; Mon, 16 Oct 95 02:12 BST Received: by chiark id (Debian /\oo/\ Smail3.1.29.1 #29.33); Mon, 16 Oct 95 02:11 BST Message-Id: Date: Mon, 16 Oct 95 02:11 BST From: Ian Jackson To: Juho A Vuori , debian-bugs-done@Pixar.com, Debian developers list Subject: Re: Bug#1680: Missing man-pages & a bug in dselect Juho A. Are you sure you were using dselect from dpkg 1.0.3 ? There was a bug like this in 1.0.2, but I think I fixed it in 1.0.3. It seems, there are no man-pages for dselect and dpkg. They are documented good enough internally, but in my opinion, it would be pretty nice if as many commands as possible had man-pages, as they are the first things one checks, when (s)he want's to learn about an unknown command. But I noticed a real bug too (just a little one but still annoying). This happens when I'm selecting which packages to install with dselect. When I press once 'o', I get to a mode where packages are ordered by their section. Then, when I scroll the list of packages to near the bottom, the upper part of screen suddenly stops moving (for me it happens on package xlockmore, but it might depend, I guess). Everything works still fine, when I push cursor keys the description of the package at lower part of the screen changes as it is supposed to do and when I push the up-arrow few times, things start working correctly again. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Acknowledgement sent to Juho A Vuori : New bug report received and forwarded.
