True. I didn't track down every single message which might have this problem and press return to verify it. I can if that's necessary, but my preferences and not knowing the basis from which to understand (Unix vs. PC default user, etc) I may spin my wheels more than someone else would. >> This occurs during the question regarding the set up the keyboard for >> non-US (text says can skip it, but there's no default of [n] as I think >> there should be), when verifying the FQDN and in other places. > >In particular, accidentally skipping the prompt for installing a >keyboard mapping file can make the rest of the installation >practically impossible for people with some of the more unusual non-US >keyboards. In particular, accidentally skipping the prompt for installing a keyboard mapping file can make the rest of the installation practically impossible for people with some of the more unusual non-US keyboards. However, I noticed that both for the keymap and the timezone selection, the option display was essentially an `ls' listing. I think some more information about each might be useful. > When return is pressed, it gives errors of: > /sbin/dsetup-kbd: [: =: unary operator expected > /sbin/dsetup-kbd: [: !=: unary operator expected This is clearly a bug. This occurs during the question regarding the set up the keyboard for non-US (text says can skip it, but there's no default of [n] as I think there should be), when verifying the FQDN and in other places. When return is pressed, it gives errors of: /sbin/dsetup-kbd: [: =: unary operator expected /sbin/dsetup-kbd: [: !=: unary operator expected I am using Debian 0.93R5 alpha, kernel version 1.2.1 and libc 4.6.27. I have installed ONLY the base system for testing purposes. Cheers, -- -- Grant R.
