This is the second Release from the new net-tools Maintainer Bernd Eckenfels.

You can see from the version number, that this is still not an official
release for the net-tools package 1.3. Please check the patches. Some work
needs to be done on the french manuals and nls files. Please contact me if
you want to translate a few sentences from english to french. (Easy job.)

The net-tools are intended to upgrade a System which is running >1.3.30
Kernels to support the new and enhanced Features.

To get support for all the Features included, u should compile them with
an 1.3.x Kernelsourcetree. The Tools should be run on 1.2.x Kernels, too.
With a recent Kernel this package should compile cleanly and without
warnings. Please send me any problems you encounter.

If you have a recent Kernel you can answer all the Configuration Options
with YES. You only have to decide about the NLS:

If you don't know whether NLS is supported on your system or not, see
/usr/include/locale.h. If it exists,  there is every chance that NLS is
supported. Set LANG environment variable accordingly before installation.
You also need the "gencat" program.

net-tools aims to be available in your language. Please contact me if
nettools is not yet translated into your language and you want to add your
contribution to its translation.

To Install simply use "make config ; make ; make install".
