                      - TaskbarHide v1.0b -

What is this?
-------------
You know when you set autohide in the taskbar, window's taskbar will
"hide" itself and when you move your mouse to where the taskbar is
hiding it will reappear.

"Hide" is not exactly all true, you will still see a single line of the
taskbar when it's "hiding". This is where this program come in, it will
totally hide the taskbar instead of leaving the single line.

Why all the fuzz about that single line?
----------------------------------------
Well it annoys me that my background pictures look silly with that
ugly single line at the buttom (or whereever the taskbar is located).
It looks way better when the taskbar is totally hidden. And considering
the time I spend looking at my desktop I thought why not make a little
program to fix it. (As I know no other way of removing it, mail me
if you do).

Setup.
------
For maximum performance you should set the taskbar properties
"Always on top" and "Hide automaticly" (This is done by pressing right
mousebutton at you taskbar and choosing properties).

If you like the program you can insert a shortcut to it in the start
folder in your startbutton (so the program will launch everytime you
start up windows). Or put it in your registry "run" section (tech heads).

As this is freeware and I don't have much time on my hands at the moment,
there is no fancy installer etc. sorry.

Features.
---------
TaskbarHide will put itself in the systemtray (where the clock is located)
it's icon is a big "T" you can enable/disable TaskbarHide by leftclicking
the "T", you can also rightclick the "T" for a popup menu where you can
close the program.

Known issues.
-------------
I'm not going into techincal mumbojumbo why this is, but do not resize
the taskbar while TaskbarHide is enabled, if you want to resize the
taskbar or change it's position (top, bottem, left, right) first disable
TaskBarHide.

When you enter a popup menu in the taskbar and scroll to an item above
the taskbar the taskbar will hide itself, this is not really a big
problem, but I'm trying to find a solution anyway.

If you have not set your taskbar to "hide automaticly" and you use
TaskbarHide, many programs will size themself as if there still is a
visible taskbar at the buttom or whereever it's located. (It's a Micro$oft
thing I guess). So for best performance set the taskbar to autohide.

About.
------

This is a beta version, so if you find any bugs report em.
(besides the ones I wrote above).

I have tested this on win98 and NT4.0, if it dosn't work under
win95 please mail me.

I'm Danish and wrote this document in like 10 minutes so my grammar
probably won't win me any prizes.

Tech stuff.
-----------

It's easy enough to read the values of the taskbar but to change em
is another story, this is probably because micro$oft don't want people
to manipulate the taskbar (Cause it'll confuse the user if you modify the
taskbar without notification).
