Hello, you may want to backup your original window's file's. If you
can't find them, click "show all files" from your view menu.

**** For Windows 98 & 95 ****

They are

logo.sys   =  Start up logo.          in   (C:\    )
logow.sys  =  Shut down wait.         in   (C:\Windows)
logos.sys  =  Shut down safe.         in   (C:\Windows)

Then replace them with the one's in this folder.

To make your own, use Bitmap's 320 wide * 400 high with 256 colours,
then change the extension from ".bmp " to ".sys "

**** To change your NT Startup screen ****

Tired of the default startup screen in Windows NT?
Use one of your choice.

Open Explorer and navigate to the Windows NT directory, where you'll find a
file named WINNT256.BMP.
This is the default Windows logo you see when you start Windows NT.
You can use any BMP file, as long as you name it WINNT256.BMP.
Just rename the original to something else, say, WINNT256.OLD.

Note: This method works in Windows NT 4.0 as well as in previous versions.

So to use mine you will have to rename "logo.sys" to "winnt256.bmp"

I have not tried this myself, but I got the info from

http://www.wugnet.com/tips/97_/7-13/index.html

I hope you enjoy mine. Have fun,
