CYBERIA CYBERIA requires a 386 or better with at least 4 MB of ram configured as expanded memory, and about 1.5 MB of free hard disk space. A Joystick is highly recommended! Installation: ============= To install the CYBERIA demo, click "Done" to close this text window. When IE asks if you wish to install the Cyberia demo, choose "Yes". After the demo has been installed, exit IE and close Windows. Change to the directory where you installed Cyberia (the default directory is C:\IE\CYBERIA). At this point, you have several choices: Calibrate Joystick: =================== Type CALJOY to run the joystick calibration program. Playable Demo: ============== Type CYBERIA to play the demo version of CYBERIA. Switch to your joystick for the flight sequences. At any point in the game before reaching the flight sequence, you may set the game difficulty level by typing: F1 Easy F2 Medium (the default) F3 Hard * Note that no message will be displayed upon changing difficulty levels Self-Running Demo: ================== Type DEMO to view the self running demo of CYBERIA. ** NOTE: ** You MUST have this episode of IE in your CD drive for the Cyberia demo to work properly. Memory Requirements: ==================== CYBERIA requires a 386 or better with at least 4 MB of RAM. The RAM must be configured as expanded memory, using EMM386, (which comes with DOS) or a similar memory manager. If you get a error message stating "Not Enough Memory" you should check your config.sys file for an expanded memory manager. A typical line might look like this: DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE. If this line is not present in your config.sys, add the line, save the file and then reboot your computer. If the line IS present, but contains a parameter for RAM, such as RAM 2048, remove the RAM setting from the string, save the file and reboot your computer. Sound Problems: =============== This DEMO version of CYBERIA will only play sound on SOUND BLASTER compatible sound cards. If the sound does not work, check the BLASTER environment setting in your autoexec.bat file. The line should look something like this: set BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 The Demo version of CYBERIA supports all IRQ numbers up to 9 and all I/O base addresses; but only supports DMA channel 1.
