TO INSTALL STRIKE SQUAD IE will install the demo of Interplay's Strike Squad to your hard drive. To continue, click "Done" to close this text window and choose "Yes" when the install script asks whether you wish to install the demo. To play the demo, exit IE and close Windows. Change to the directory to which you installed the demo (the default is C:\IE\SQUAD; to change to this directory, type "CD C:\IE\SQUAD") and type SETD to configure the game for sound. After you have run SETD, type S to run the game. COPY PROTECTION Of the root of the CD is a directory called MANUAL. In this directory, you will find MANUAL.WRI, which is the complete manual for Strike Squad. Additionally, there are two files called CHART.PCX and CHART.WRI. Before attempting to play Strike Squad, YOU MUST PRINT THESE TWO FILES OUT. CHART.WRI can be printed from Windows Write, and CHART.PCX from Windows Paintbrush. When the game asks you for the copy protection code, first look up the three codes that correspond to the page number on CHART.WRI. Each of the codes represents one of the icons found in CHART.PCX. Choose the appropriate icons according to CHART.PCX. EXAMPLE: If the game asks for the copy protection as found on page 13, first consult CHART.WRI. The codes for page 13 are d2, d5 and b7. Consulting CHART.PCX, you can see that these correspond to a medical kit, a toolbox, and some sort of electronic widget. Choose these icons from the ones on the screen to get by the copy protection.
