      BACKGROUND

If you install Helix's Multimedia Cloaking and Stacker 4.0, you
may receive a message during startup: "DPMS: Another DPMS server
is already active". This is not an error message, and is provided
for informational purposes only. Multimedia Cloaking installs a
DOS Protected Mode Services (DPMS) driver in CONFIG.SYS. It is
normally loaded before the Stacker DPMS driver. When the Stacker
DPMS driver starts to load, it detects the other DPMS driver,
refuses to load, and displays the informational message. This is
not a dangerous condition. In fact, Stacker uses Helix's DPMS
      driver.

      SOLUTION

Since Helix's DPMS driver is active, you don't need to load the
Stacker DPMS driver also. You may ignore the message and allow
the system to continue the startup process. Stacker will take
full advantage of the DPMS services that Helix's version
provides. If you wish, you may deactivate the Stacker DPMS so
that the message will not appear on your screen.

       1. Type: CONFIG /D- <enter> at the DOS prompt. Note that a
"minus sign" follows the letter D. Answer "y" for "yes" to
           change the file as indicated.
       2. Restart your system for the change to take effect.

Note: if you remove Multimedia Cloaking, be sure to reactivate
the Stacker DPMS line. Type CONFIG /D <enter> to restore
       Stacker's DPMS.
