      BACKGROUND

If you are using a Windows application called HDC First Apps, you
may experience a conflict between its AutoSave utility and
Stackers AutoSave utility. This is not a Stacker-specific
problem, but a general symptom of two Windows programs having the
      same name.

      SOLUTION

To avoid conflicts between the two programs, follow these steps
      in order:

         - Rename Stacker AutoSaves utility
         - Move the Stacker AutoSave icon out of the Startup group
         - Move HDC's AutoSave into the Startup group

      Rename Stacker AutoSave's utility

       1. From the Windows File Manager, select the file AUTOSAVE.EXE
           (usually in C:\STACKER).
       2. From the File menu, choose Rename.
       3. Rename the file to STACSAVE.EXE and click OK.
       4. From the Windows Program Manager, choose the Stacker
AutoSave icon from your Startup group.
       5. From the File menu, choose Properties. (If you get a message
that the current properties are invalid, ignore it.)
       6. On the Command Line, replace the name autosave.exe with
           stacsave.exe and click OK.

Move the Stacker AutoSave icon out of the Startup group

       1. From the Program Manager, make both the Startup group window
and the Stacker group window visible on your screen.
       2. Drag the Stacker AutoSave icon from the Startup group to the
           Stacker group.
       3. Now, restart Windows to ensure Stacker AutoSave isn't
           running.

Move HDCs AutoSave into the Startup group

       1. Drag HDC's AutoSave icon into the Starup group

If you always run HDC's AutoSave from the Startup group, and then
explicitly run Stacker's AutoSave by double-clicking its icon,
you won't have any conflicts. Note that when you double-click the
Stacker AutoSave icon, you won't receive any visible indication
that it is running. If you double-click again, however, you'll
receive a message that indicates it is running.
