To set up a slip host you need to copy these files into a directory
called C:\SLIP.
Then you must edit the SLIP.NOS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files and put in the
proper settings for your site. Each file contains information on what
settings you need to change.
Next you need to enter passwords in the SLIPLOG.PWD file. See the SLIPLOG
docs for important info on passwords and time limits. The file provided
has three passwords set up PASSWORD1,PASSWORD2 and PASSWORD3.
If you want SLIP to autoboot you will need to replace your AUTOEXEC.BAT
with the one provided.I have also provided a program and example batch file
that will allow the system to selectively boot as a SLIP machine or
a regular PC depending on the time of day. See the example batch file called
WHAT.BAT.

I have done most of the general setup needed in the SLIP.NOS file for users
in the Bell Atlantic world school project. If you are in a different domain
other changes may be needed.

I have put most of the changes that you will need in the files SLIP.NOS
There are some things that you must put in. Look for ??? where you need
to enter data.
The file SLIP.BHS is the actual file that we use for one of our nodes.

The following lines in SLIP.NOS may need changed.

Line 14: Put your hostname here
Line 17: Your IP address
Line 23: Domain suffix
Line 36: DNS servers
Line 78: SLIP IP address (The IP that will be given to the slip user)
Line 88: Equate SLIP IP with the node address of the ethernet card
In netware you can use "USERLIST /A" to get the ethernet card
address. I have no idea how to do it in windows... Possibly run the
diagnostic program that came with the ethernet card...
Line 97: Default route. (point this to your router)
Line 100:Netmask for the default route
