C A S C A D A P R E S E N T S In late 1991 C R O N O L O G I A Developed in 1991 by Iceman, Pharos, Zodiak and Mirage of Cascada. CRONOLOGIA STORY ---------------- The CDA Cronologia demo was developed more or less during the late summer and fall of 1991 by four young Swedish students of the group Cascada. It was created to show that Cascada is not dead and that we can do much cooler things than for example the X-mas'90 demo or the Cascalyzer. We wanted to give you guys who likes pretty demonstrations something new. I'd like to point out that almost everything that you see and hear in the demo is our own work. Some fonts are done by various artists, and I found them on a font disk by 'Bullet'. I suppose they are PD then. Some of the samples included in the songs were taken from the FNK PD, an Amiga PD-library of samples and ilbm's. We would like to thank The Nibbler (ex. member of Amiga-group Anarchy) for helping Iceman with some equations. Also, the font in the end-part was made by Chester of the Amiga-group Brainstorm. We liked it so much we couldn't help using it. It was on the font disk. The rest of the coding, the graphics, all the music and our music-system was created by Cascada members. The name Cronologia is a result of Pharos' Spanish dictionary. Now you don't have to write to ask where the name came from. Fine. R E Q U I R E M E N T S Well, we didn't want another 16 colour demo, so we keep on in VGA, and this time also in MCGA modes. Pharos has improved his music system to sound better on the internal speaker, so now we can give you guys who can't build a D/A or afford a SoundBlaster card some sound too. We still RECOMMEND you to build one of those D/A things (Soundplayer, JDAC, MDO or whatever...). If you use a real D/A in your LPT instead of those resistors, you get really improved sound. It still sounds nice if your computer is fast enough. We strongly recommend at least a 386SX to run this demo, but a 286 will do fine too. Don't try it on an XT. Now I have warned you. C O N T A C T I N G C A S C A D A If you are a member of a PC group, please send your demo to us. We will include it in our demo library and spread it like hell if it is good. Free. In case you are a good coder, graphics artist or musician and want to join Cascada, don't hesitate to call us. We always want more high quality artists to join our crew. Call today. If you are a representative for a company that is interested in our coding, do contact us straight away. We also make commercial demos, for International Shows and so on. We recently did some vectors for ICL par example. Lamers and game-swappers - DON'T CALL or write. We do NOT swap illegal stuff and we WON'T give you the source-codes! If you swap demos, you can send us your list. Just don't expect us to answer everything we get. If you include a stamped envelope (Swedish stamps) with your address on, you get an answer. Don't send disks and expect us to copy things on them. If you send us your latest demo you will get our productions back. Anyway, here's the address: CASCADA ROTEVˇGEN 1 S-735 33 SURAHAMMAR SWEDEN You can also leave a message or something at our BBSs...
