Thank you for trying SCRAMBLE(c).
SCRAMBLE is a program that runs
under Windows.  It does two things:

1. It solves the popular JUMBLE(r)
word game published in most U.S.
papers.  You can give SCRAMBLE
a group of five or six letters
from the JUMBLE puzzle and SCRAMBLE
will provide you with two lists.  One
list shows EVERY possible
combination of those letters (the word
you can't figure out is in this list).
The second list is shorter, including
only the letter combinations most likely
to result in real words (your word is
probably in this list).


2. SCRAMBLE also includes an intriguing
two-player game.  Each player enters
words while the other doesn't look.
Then the computer scrambles the letters
and you play against the clock as well as
each other.  The quicker you solve each
word, the higher your score.  There are
several options--time-per-word, number
of words-per-round, and number of
letters-per-word.

INSTALLING SCRAMBLE

Copy SCRAMBLE.EXE to your
Windows directory.  Then
copy the other two files--
THREED.VBX and GAUGE.VBX--
to your Windows/System
directory.

A large file (VBRUN200.DLL)
is required for running Scramble
or any other program written in
Visual Basic 2 (as is Scramble).
If you don't have VBRUN200.DLL,
it is available on most bulletin
boards, on CompuServe, on AOL,
etc.

Then just add SCRAMBLE.EXE to your
Program Manager or whatever
Shell you use.  Or you can
run SCRAMBLE from the Program
Manager or File Manager
RUN menu (click on FILE, then
RUN, then BROWSE).
