******************************************************************** DISPLAY IT! by Carner Enterprises V 1.1 ******************************************************************** OVERVIEW: DISPLAY IT! displays 16 and 256 color bitmaps in a 'slide show' like fashion. It allows you to create lists of bitmaps for display, and save these lists in files. This allows you to easily select different lists of bitmaps for display. DISPLAY IT! works equally well for personal use at home or at work, or for commercial purposes to display advertisements in the form of bitmaps. DISPLAY IT! has several additional features such as password protection, a variety of methods to close one bitmap before the next one is displayed, setting the interval between bitmaps and a preview function. DISPLAY IT! is distributed as SHAREWARE. You may copy and distribute the unregistered version as much as you wish. SETUP: The files needed to run the unregistered version of DISPLAY IT! are: ** dsplayit.exe application executable ** dsplayit.hlp application help file ** dsplayit.ini initialization file (if this file is lost the program creates a new one) ** dsplayit.lst a default listing of bitmaps for display (created for you after first run) ** logo.bmp DISPLAY IT! logo for initial display ** welcome.bmp A little more advertising in a small bitmap Place these files in a subdirectory - c:\dsplayit is recommended. The first time you run the application, a message will inform you that the default listing file does not exist and a default file will be created for you when you exit the application. Two little bitmaps have been included for you to try out. Just press the Add button and add logo.bmp and welcome.bmp and press Go!. This will demonstrate the program basics. From there - create your own lists and enjoy! ** cmdialog.vbx common dialog visual basic dll ** commdlg.dll windows common dialog dll Put these files in your windows\system directory. ** vbrun300.dll visual basic runtime dll This file is not included in the zip file because it is generally available. Excluding it makes the download smaller too! If you do not currently have vbrun300.dll, you must obtain a copy (it is available on most BBS or shareware stores). This file also belongs in you windows\system directory. Thank you for your interest in DISPLAY IT!
