This is my first attempt at a Visual Basic program. It is a result, as is
often the case, of a frustration with the current programs available for
specialty needs. Though the only pattern I have is my own fishing habits
I hope you will find that you can tailor it to your style. This being my
first attempt at any type of programming I am sure there will be many bugs
and suggestions. Please feel free to write to me at the below address and
let me know how it works. I have included my CIS number on the "about "
window but I must confess that I'm not sure I have that whole system figured
out. You would definately be safer writting me! If you do leave a message
and get no reply accept my appoligies, it's probably because I can't figure
out how to read them or reply , or both.

I labored over how much I should request for my program. Honestly
I'm as interested in the comments and suggestions but $10.00 would
certainly be appreciated!! If you would like me to add some catagories or
customize the title bar with your own name I would be more than happy to
do so. Please send enough to cover a disk and mailing. Your phone number
would be good also in case I have any questions (I go to bed at 9:00 so
you'll get no late calls!). My ideas for future improvement would be
unlimited entries (currently the limit is 50 entries), more catagories,
advanced sorting capabilities, and possibly a print out option. If I
recieve the requested $10.00 and a blank disk and mailer(or throw in an
extra 3 bucks,or so, for a disk and postage) I will send you an upgraded
copy of my program (and the code if you request it), customized
with your name, and the ability to access multiple filenames which is my
current (though not long term) workaround the 64K file limitation imposed
by VB. You can then keep 50 fishing trips in each file and name them for
the year's trips that particular file contains (I'll document the details
with your upgrade).

I also wanted write some of the typical thankyou's that I have read
many times over the last few years. Many of you helped me simply by leaving
questions and suggestions in the MicroSoft forums on CIS. I hope you all
realize how invaluable those short comments are!! The book Visual Basic
from the Peter Norton Programming Library has been my bible for the last 6
weeks. It's superb for a begining programmer and I strongly recommend it
(if you know of a better one or one I should advance to when I finish it
please let me know).

While every attempt has been made to test this program you use it
at your own risk. I have experienced no problems with it and as of this
date recieved no feedback that would indicate any on other machines.

							THANKS!!
