Personal Golf Tracker for Windows - Version 1.0

Personal Golf Tracker (PGT) is a comprehensive program that lets
you keep a close eye on your golf game.  It has many features to
help you improve your game while providing an easy way to keep a

Personal Golf Tracker has the following features:

1.	Keep track of your scores.
2.	Display your personal best, by hole, or by nine, on each course
        you play.
3.	Display average scores on par 3's, 4's and 5's.
4.	Compare your scores to Par, Bogey or Double Bogey on a hole by
        hole basis.
5.	Graphically show the percentage of time you shot Par, Bogey or
        Double Bogey.
6.	Show percentage distribution of Eagle, Birdie, Par, etc.
7.	Graphically display your high, low and average hole by hole.
8.	Track six special aspects of your game of your choosing.
9.	Graphically display your trends of six aspects of your game of
        your choosing.
10.	Print a hard copy of the rounds you've entered.
11.	Print summaries of your performance based on critera you select.
11.	Enter rounds, golfers, and courses up to memory limits.
12.	Analyze rounds before and after a given date.
13.	Calculate handicaps and handicap scenarios of your choosing.
14.	Check your consistency on each hole or on rounds played.
15.	Keep summaries of your performance across all courses played.
16.	Rank golfers acording to summary information you select.
17.	Rank your performance among courses according to information you
        select.
18.	Assign notes to rounds, golfers, and courses.
19.	Display summaries of your performance in terms of differentials
        or averages.

Personal Golf Tracker system requirements:

IBM or compatible computer with VGA or better graphics display.
Microsoft Windows version 3.0 or higher.
VBRUN200.DLL dynamic link library.
Hard disk with at least 800K free space and 1 Megabyte of RAM.


Installing Personal Golf Tracker for Windows 3.1:

To install PGT for Windows, make a directory on your hard drive and
change to that directory:

cd\
md\winpgt
cd\winpgt

unpak the files and copy them to the \winpgt directory:

pkunzip a:\pgtw1.zip

The following files should now be in the \WINPGT directory on your
hard drive:

pgtw.exe       Executable program
pgtw.hlp       Windows help file for PGT
winpgt.cnf     Program default settings
Register.txt   Registration form
vendor.txt     Information for disk vendors
file_id.diz    Information for BBS operators

You must also have a copy of VBRUN200.DLL which is normally stored in
your Windows directory. If you don't have this file you can find it in
the MSBASIC forum on Compuserve in the Visual Basic Section.


Setting up PGT in Program manager:

From Program Manager do the following:

Click File from the main menu bar in Program Manager.
Click New
Select Program Item
Under description enter:Personal Golf Tracker
Under command line enter: c:\winpgt\pgtw.exe
Under working directory enter:c:\winpgt
Click OK.
To start Personal Golf Tracker, double click on the PGT icon.

To register your copy of PGT:

Printout the file REGISTER.TXT.  To do that from DOS type in the following:

copy register.txt lpt1:

To print the registration form while running the program, click on Help and
then click on Print Registration Form. You can also click on Register on the
Registration Reminder 
screen.
