                            From the publisher:

Last month, in the March issue, we On the lighter side, we offer a
offered an article (Buzzwords...) tongue-in-cheek view of some of the
that dealt with the many telecommuni- newer programming terms. Among them
cation terms you hear. Hopefully, it you are likely to find some you wish
went a long way towards clearing up were around long ago! I have to
any confusion you may have had. This admit that I'm not much of a program-
month we offer an article on modem mer. I have never fiqured out just
communication as a bit of a companion what the compiler error message, "You
to that one. Another offering is an gotta be kidding!", means.
article dealing with the RS-232C
interface. Between the two, you will Oh well, Gene...
be given the opportunity to grasp
what is really going on when you use
a modem or any device connected to a
serial port.

Hey guys, I gotta admit that I'm running out of ideas, time ,energy, etc.

The bottom line is that if I don't get a few submissions to help me fill this
thing, it's gonna die! While I've (obviously) put a lot of time and effort
into MicroNews, I don't expect any pats onna back, but I do think that if you
like what you see, say so. <TOC 1 11>

I am going to try to make the committment to publish a monthly issue until
June, 1991. That will have been a total of six issues. Enough for me to
know if any interest is evident. If not, no sweat...I'll go off and figure
out something else to spend my time on while I grumble...

We don't hide, but put our address <TOC 1 17> right up front...write!

We're waiting to hear from you...Gene
