We have also copied a public domain program named SCRNSAVE.COM to your root
directory. When this program is loaded it operates in the background of other
programs and automatically clears your crt screen if the keyboard is not used
for over three minutes. The screen cleared can be instantly restored by
pressing any key. We highly recomend that you use it so that you can leave
your computer on all day (its generally agreed that this is better for the
computer than turning it on and off each time you use it) and yet not burn in
the master menu or other screens you often leave on the computer when not in
use. It is best to have it loaded by your autoexec.bat file. We have
included it in the one loaded by the command CPAUTOEX. You can add it to your
existing autoexec.bat file by adding the line SCRNSAVE.

We have also included two simple programs named COMPRESS and UNCOMPRS and
copied them to the CBATS directory. These programs will set the print style
to compressed mode and return it to normal on any dot matrix printer that
emulates an Epson. Simply type COMPRESS or UNCOMPRS <return>. After testing
it on your printer, you many have the BAT file that loads the BOOKS program
replaced with one that automatically turns on compressed print before loading
the program and uncompresses after the program is exited. Type COMPRS
<return> and the change will be made.
