THE LOTUS 123 SPREADSHEET ENTITLED "JBNPROG.WK1" WAS WRITTEN TO
AID THE ENGINEER/TECHNICIAN TO QUICKLY DETERMINE THE RELATIVE 
PERMEABILITIES OF A SPECIFIC RESERVOIR ROCK (CORE SAMPLE) FROM
AN UNSTEADY-STATE LABORATORY DISPLACEMENT EXPERIMENT USING
THE JOHNSON-BOSSLER-NAUMANN METHOD.

THE J-B-N METHOD IS RATHER STRAIGHT FORWARD, BUT REQUIRES A GREAT
DEAL OF CALCULATIONS.  THIS IS WHY A LOTUS 123 SPREADSHEET BECOMES
EXTREMELY HELPFUL.  ALL CALCULATIONS AND RELATIVE PERMEABILITY 
VALUES ARE DETERMINED FROM AN UNSTEADY-STATE DISPLACEMENT PROCEDURE.
PROCEDURE REQUIRES A FULLY OIL SATURATED CORE SAMPLE AND A BRINE 
FEED APPARATUS TO DISPLACE THE OIL BY BRINE.  THE LAB DATA RECORDED 
DURING THE EXPERIMENT ARE:

	1) CONTINUOUS TIME RECORDED WHEN SWITCHING GRADUATED RECEIVERS.
	2) Np - THE VOLUME OF OIL RECOVERED DURING THAT TIME PERIOD.
	3) Wp - THE VOLUME OF WATER RECOVERED DURING THAT TIME PERIOD.

OTHER DATA NEEDED FOR THE J-B-N METHOD ARE:

	1) THE TOTAL PORE VOLUME OF THE SAMPLE IN CC'S.
	2) THE BRINE/WATER VISCOSITY IN CENTIPOISE (cp).
	3) THE OIL VISCOSITY IN CENTIPOISE (cp).

	ALL USER-REQUIRED INFORMATION IS MARKED WITH AN (X).

I'VE ALSO INCLUDED A FAST SCREEN GRAPH OF THE DATA USING A MACRO 
ENTITLED (ALT-G <===> CELL ADDRESS O1).  DEFAULT RANGES FOR THE
SPREADSHEET AND MACRO WILL ALLOW 20 DATA RECORDINGS (ie. 20 test
tubes).  IF THE LAB EXPERIMENT REQUIRES MORE OR LESS DATA TO BE 
TAKEN, JUST /COPY THE SPREADSHEET AND CHANGE THE X,A,B DATA RANGES
IN THE MACRO TO FIT YOUR NEEDS.
