Catts3 v3.0 Forrest Harlow REGISTRATION $75.00 MISC JUN90 CAI TESTING TUTORING COMPUTER-ASSISTED HARLOW FILES: catts3v3.sdn New Release CATTS3 is a system for computer-based drill / testing and grade administration. Its purpose is to harness the computer to the job of giving tests, grading tests, and summarizing student performance. CATTS3 is a PAPERLESS system -- tests and drills are given online, on the PC. CATTS3 was developed for use in multiple sections of large college-level classes but is equally applicable in public schools. The system can keep track of any number of assignments, for any number of students in any number of classes. It provides the basic functions of generating test materials, presenting questions onscreen, accepting student responses, and keeping track of student performance. The CATTS3 cycle works like this: You use CATTS3 to create testing materials. You distribute them to the students. Students can take CATTS3 tests on any PC (e.g., in a lab); then they carry their disk to your central PC where they log their grade into your central database. You then run a CATTS3 analysis module to generate reports. In a CATTS3-based class, instructor grading time is zero, regardless of the frequency of tests or number of students. If your students have access to computers, give CATTS3 a try -- it may change your pedagogical approach! Hardware Requirements : IBM PC, PC-compatible or MS-DOS computer 256k RAM, 2 floppy drives.
