User Menu (v1.0) by PGDN Software Company REGISTRATION ($25.00) The USERMENU system offers a flexible menu system which offers users a simple interface for running their application programs on either a local area network or standalone system. This system has been used in an office environment and has been proven invaluable as a tool for offering users a consistent interface which isolates them from the complexities of DOS, network and program commands. The USERMENU program reads user created MDF (Menu Definition Files) and executes the commands found in these files based on user selection. This isolates the user from DOS and allows single key selections to execute several commands. Unless otherwise specified in the USERINST program, the USERMENU program will always first load the MDF file which is named USERMENU.MDF as the initial menu. Also, any menu instruction can load another menu. Features of USERMENU Version 1.00 * Menu Definition Files can be created with any ASCII editor and do not require any complex syntactical commands or paramters. * USERMENU creates a simple to use and consistent interface for personal computer users whether on a LAN or running standalone. * USERMENU has built in error checking which tells you where and why an error occured when the menus are run. * USERMENU has a context sensitive help system (USERHELP) which can be customized to fit the needs of your environment. * USERMENU can be used to limit network access by users, by limiting them to the environment determined by the administrator. * Programs executed from menus can either be loaded directly from USERMENU.EXE or run in USERMENU created batch files, which return to the menu screen when complete (Uses only 9KB in workstation). * USERMENU has a built in screen saver which displays a scrolling message is the menu screen is unattended for over 10 minutes. * DOS Environment variable processing allows customization for any workstation on a network.
