TITLE: 950118 APTIVA MACHINES WITH THE ARIA SOUND CARD. (WARP)
 
DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
    The APTIVA machines 530 (2144-66P) & 730 (2144-86P).
    The ARIA soundcard needs the promethieus driver for OS/2 and
    it will not be available till 1995.  The main symptoms
    that the user will see is:
    1. No sound under OS/2.
    2. Windows seamless applications open but disappear and are
       not in the task list.
 
DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
    If the machines equipped with this soundcard (ARIA), the
    sound MUST be disabled.  User must do the following:
    1. Go into fullscreen Windows Program Manager
    2. Open the "Control Panel" folder
    3. Start the "Drivers" program
    4. Remove the two ARIA drivers
    5. Exit Windows
 
    The applications should run seamlessly now
