If you have not already done so, please read the General README file 
(located in /pub/os2).

IBM OS/2 2.0 is an extremely capable DOS multitasker.  And pre-2.0 
versions of OS/2 had limited DOS compatibility.  Hence this archive site 
could very well carry a wide variety of DOS software and information.  
In fact ftp-os2.nmsu.edu carries a fairly limited collection of DOS 
software, only that which is considered of specific and immediate 
interest to OS/2 users.

The decision to limit ftp-os2.nmsu.edu's DOS software holdings was made 
because other Internet sites already maintain huge holdings of DOS 
software.  Rather than duplicate effort, this README file is intended to 
direct you to these large archive sites.

In North America the primary DOS archive is located at wsmr-
simtel20.army.mil (192.88.110.20) in directory pd1:<msdos>.  This site 
is often busy and slow, however, so a "mirror" (a site which constantly 
updates its archives to reflect the contents of another) has been 
established at wuarchive.wustl.edu (128.252.135.4), directory 
/mirrors/msdos.  Users outside North America are free to use either of 
these sites, but a site located closer to home may prove speedier.
