OS/2 DEVICE DRIVERS DOWNLOADING AND UNPACKAGING INSTRUCTIONS
         ------------------------------------------------------------

     OVERVIEW
     --------

The first entry in the OS/2 Device Drivers directory is
SETUP.EXE. All of the OS/2 device drivers (identified by the
.PAK extension) listed in this directory are in a compressed
format and require the SETUP.EXE utility to prepare them for
installation. SETUP.EXE decompresses (expands) the .PAK file
into the individual code and documentation files for the device
     driver.

Each device driver .PAK file should be downloaded onto a diskette
for ease of installation as well as providing an automatic
backup. Please ensure you download the device driver file with
the .PAK extension as listed because SETUP.EXE searches for the
.PAK extension to perform the decompression.

     IMPORTANT NOTE:

Use ONLY the following protocols when downloading the OS/2 Device
Drivers. Use of other protocols may NOT allow the decompression
     of the device drivers.

     1. Xmodem-CRC (Protocol Type C on this Bulletin Board)

     2. Xmodem-Checksum (Protocol Type X on this Bulletin Board)

If you are downloading more than one device driver, each device
driver .PAK file should be downloaded onto a separate diskette.
This allows adequate diskette space for SETUP.EXE to decompress
the .PAK file and eliminates the possibility of intermixing
either code or documentation files from different device driver
     .PAK files.

SETUP.EXE need only be downloaded once -- you can then copy
it to as many driver diskettes as required.

     RUNNING SETUP
     -------------

NOTE: SETUP.EXE is an OS/2-mode program and must be run in an
OS/2 session. SETUP.EXE will NOT execute in the DOS
            environment.

     1. Insert your device driver diskette (containing SETUP.EXE
and the .PAK file) into a diskette drive.

EXAMPLE: Insert diskette into Drive A:

     2. Make that diskette drive the current drive.

EXAMPLE: Type A: and press Enter

     3. Type SETUP and press Enter.

     4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

     5. SETUP will notify you of its successful completion and
will direct you to the correct installation procedure for
         your device driver.

     DOCUMENTATION
     -------------

When SETUP has completed its decompression, you will have, at a
minimum, a file with the extension .DOC (for Documentation).
The .DOC file is the abstract for your device driver, containing
hardware/software requirements and a brief description.

Also, you may have a file with the extension .TXT (for Text).
The .TXT contains additional installation and usage information.
The .TXT file is only present when the space limitations of the
     .DOC file are exceeded.

Please retain the documentation file(s) for your records, as
     the file(s) contain valuable information.
