Common Problems for a3i 1.1.0:

P = Problem
F = Fix
________________

P: You get a error saying MSVBVM60.DLL cannot be found when you run a3i.exe

F: Go to http://areyoufearless.com. Enter the site, then click downloads, click needed files and download the MSVBVM60 zip file. Extract MSVBVM60.DLL to your system folder (Win 9x/Me: \Windows\System, WinNT/2k: WINNT\System32) now. Rerun a3i.exe.

P: You get an error saying ssa3d30.ocx cannot be found when you run a3i.exe

F: Go to http://areyoufearless.com. Enter the site, then click downloads, click needed files and download the ssa3d30 zip file. Extract ssa3d30.ocx to your system folder (Win 9x/Me: \Windows\System, WinNT/2k: WINNT\System32) now. Click your start button then go to Run or hold in your Windows key and press R. Type: "regsvr32 ssa3d30.ocx" (without the quotes). Rerun a3i.exe.

P: You get the error "An error has occured! Make sure you are connected though IM Image!.... Description: Unknown error" when you click "Sniff".

F: For a3i to work correctly, you need to be directly connected to the person who's IP you want to sniff though AIM's IM Image feature. Once you are connected, you can press "Sniff". It is also sometimes possible for you to sniff the IP even if you haven't been connected to the person for 30 sec - 1 min.

P: You get the error "Error: File not found" when you click sniff.

F: The path to your MS-DOS Prompt isn't right. Open up the paths.ini file which should be in your a3i folder. Inside paths.ini you will see "VERSION=". Look to see if it says VERSION=DOS PATH NT2k or VERSION=DOS PATH 9X. Once you know which one, go to either the [DOS PATH NT2k] line or the [DOS PATH 9X] line. Then you will see PATH=, you need to change the value there to the path to Command.com or CMD.exe, depending on which version of Windows you are using. For 95/98/98SE/Me users its Command.com and for NT/2k users it's CMD.EXE. So search your hard drive for that, once you find it get the file path to it and make it look like PATH=C:\Windows\Command.com or whatever the path is.
