1. Welcome

Welcome to the new version of Backwork. Quite a lot has changed since the last
version so we recommend that you read this file. The biggest change is the
number of trojans Backwork can detect. Instead of just one, we now recognize
more than 45 trojans. That is more than twice as many as any other multiple
trojan cleaner! We hope you will find our program very useful and we look to get
a postal postcard from you soon.

reminder: If you already have an earlier version of backwork running. quit the
program, and then install the new version.

2. What is Backwork?

Backwork is a multi trojan cleaner for win95/98 and Windows NT. A trojan is a
program that is installed on your computer and tries very hard not to get noticed.
Someone who knows that you have been infected can access your computer and gain
complete control over it. It is unnecessary to say that this can be extremely
dangerous. You only have to worry about trojans when you have a network
connection (like internet). Our program Backwork starts itself every time you
start Windows and stays resident (see bugs). Backwork then continuously checks
your registry to see if any trojan is installed, and removes it for you when one
is found. You can see Backwork is resident by looking at your system tray,
there you will see an FE-logo.

3. About us

Framework Executive exists in it's current shape for six years now and is a
fresh new company in the fight against trojans. Fighting trojans is just a small
part of our activities. We produce custom made software, we install networks, we
give advice to companies and we have our own technical staff repairing and
building computers.

05-Jan-1999

There are quite a few new features in this version of Backwork. The biggest
improvement is the number of recognized trojans but there are also some extra
functions. Here is the list:
- Instead of 1 trojan Backwork now recognizes more than 45 trojans.
  Look at the end of this document for a complete list;
- No longer an FE-logo on your desktop, now you can access Backwork from your
  system tray (by popular demand :);
- Backwork now also scans your system.ini and win.ini at start-up for trojans;
- Backwork will now inform you when a hidden system share is added to your
  registry;
- You can scan all your drives (or just a single one) for trojans and delete
  them conveniently in Backwork instead of having to do it manually;
- When using our disk scanner you can let Backwork check the contents of all
  ini-files to see if there are any references to trojans in it;
- A stunning new installation/removal program.
