1. Introduction..
=======================---------------------
  Edge Topic Editor is my first publicly released 'addon' or first publicly
released anything in relation to mIRC, regardless I've been scripting for
long over a year, I've just never made anything that other people can use.
Although I love customizability to the highest possible level, I seemed
to only make scripts that suited me, and I've been working on a major
script, now currently called RealmGuard 2000, which will be packed to
full possible potential of utilities, tools, shortcuts, command systems,
everything you can think of, each with full customization.

  I've brought out this script basically to show I'm not just a somebody
who is just going on about 'his skills' in scripting and decided I'd
make something that would, in short, example a small taste of what
you'll be able to find in a full packaged script.

  But anyway, enough about me and my addon... now onto the part you
most likely started looking for.

2. Getting Started
=======================---------------------
  If you haven't already installed the addon, or you're viewing this
from the web, once you have the zip file, edtopic.zip, unzip it into
your mIRC Directory, or script directory, wherever within, and then
in mIRC, type /load -rs topiceditor.mrc (or path/to/topiceditor.mrc
from mIRC directory). The dialog will ask if you wish to run the
initialization... if you've read the dialog that's shown, and
you're new and worried about this, I'll put it straight, I'm totally
publicizing who I am, and my domain of which you can find my actual
address from, I can promise you this particular script does not harm
your computer in any way. Now we've gotten that clear, clicking yes
lets the addon run through it's Initialization which you'll be presented
with a little instructing message... you've now loaded Edge Topic Editor.

3. Versions
=======================---------------------
1.1: - A few overlooked bugs squashed... nothing major.
         - Updated this documentation.

1.0: - First Version Release... not much else I can say.

4. Whoa.. lots of Options!
=======================---------------------
  Edge Topic Editor certainly does have a fair buttload of options
available to you and may actually appear frightening if you've
never come across complex dialogs in mIRC :)
I've pretty muched used the GUI to explain most areas, and so
they speak for themself, once used, it's very easy to navigate.

5. Recent Topic Histories?
=======================---------------------
  A bit over the top, eh? :)
  All Topics set by you, and others, are recorded into the Topic History,
one for just your topics, one for all set topics, and each individual
channel. This basically allows you to bring up old topics if they
had important information, there have been occasions I've found this
useful and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It also allows you to clear
the history, naturally.

6. Default Topics!?
=======================---------------------
  This is, not in all cases a necessary feature, but is still proven
useful at times.
  There are three options to go with this, whatever is in the editbox
will always be saved and remain there when loading again, and clicking
the Use Now button puts the topic into your main Topic Editbox up top.
  'Enforce Always' enables that whenever the topic is changed or is
not what it should be in your prescence (excluding if you change the
topic manually or through the Editor using 'Set Topic') and will use
your chosen method of resetting the topic back to your default.
  'Default Editable Topic' simply places the Default Topic in the
Main Topic Editbox every time the editor is loaded regardless of
what the Channel's topic is, using Restore, however, replaces it
with the Channel's current topic.
  'Set Using /deftopic' Enabled by default, in a channel window,
using /deftopic will run the same process as enforcing the topic, if
the topic isn't your default, then it will use your saved method to
reset it.

7. What are these settings, why can't I just set it?
=======================---------------------
  Many channels and networks have different ways of running, although
all networks allow you to simply change the topic (this also depending
on channel settings whether you need to be an operator or not, in most
cases you do as it is often a default registered channel setting), but
they normally provide Bots to do the functions for you, so you need
not remain an op at all times - or - for example if you don't have the
access to actually be an op, but are allowed to set topics. It's cases
like these that prevent the user from using Channel Central, and instead
must manually type the desired topic (or whatever method used). This
area allows you to completely configure what happens when you intend to
set the topic, whether you want it to message the channel, a user,
normally a bot but can be otherwise (in v1.0 I've only allowed the list
of the users in the channel, sorry if this is an inconvienence, in
this siutation, use the Custom Command) and also with a prefix. And
lastly Custom Command in case what I've provided doesn't suit your
needs, it applies the topic to the end of whatever you've put, in
future versions this may be changed to allow a prefix and postfix. This
must start with with a / to signify it is, in fact, a command, and may
not be '/settopic' :)

* When using Apply, to prevent mIRC from performing the same action again
  when clicking OK straight afterwards, a variable is set which can only
  be unset by the Main Topic Editbox changing, or actually using OK to
  leave the dialog.

8. Commands available to you.
=======================---------------------
/settopic - Loads Topic Editor, as just does the option in Channel Menu.
/deftopic - If Enabled for Channel, Sets Default Topic for it.
/topichelp - Loads this TXT File, which in later versions will be
             integrated into mIRC using a dialog of its own.

9. Feedback, Bugs, etc.
=======================---------------------
  The website is http://www.edgedes.com/ but you won't find much info
on this Addon except a download, and versions info, but you will
find contact info and a possible update on what's happening with me
in case I don't reply as fast as I normally should/would.
Otherwise my email address is shawnh@edgedes.com or you can contact
me on ICQ using 2912483, and lastly but not least, of course you can
reach me on IRC, I hang out on GamesNET (irc.gamesnet.net) in the
channel #3drealms, but also #edgedesigns if you want to talk private.

* Just wait for RealmGuard 2000, it will be a script for all sorts involving
  everything possible you'd ever want, ever find and possibly more!
  Awe at the flexibility of turning 'topic editing' into something
  so powerful, then think of a whole script based on everything each
  using the flexible power of this simple topic editor :)
