EarthTime - (previously called 'World Time')
=========

Author: Scott Powell (scottpowell@kagi.com)
Version: 1.8 (Shareware)
Date: 19/12/1997

Install Notes
-------------

IMPORTANT: IF YOU STILL HAVE "World Time" INSTALLED (My one, not
the same named program by Creative Digital Inc.) THEN
YOU MUST DELETE YOUR CURRENT INSTALATION BEFORE INSTALLING
THIS VERSION!! (DUE TO NAME CHANGE)

Simply use 'instapp' to install the earthtm.prc file onto your pilot.
You can also install the 'cities.pdb' file (using instapp), to have a
list of cities to select from (see below).

Instructions
------------

This application presents you with a world map, where you simply tap on the timezone
you wish to obtain the time for. If you drag the pen around the screen, the timezone
and time information is updated dynamically.

You set the local timezone by selecting the corresponding menu item, then tapping
on the timezone you are in. (Initially the local timezone is assumed to be GMT). The
selected timezone is remembered, so you should only have to do this once for each
  time you change timezones.

At the bottom of the screen are three configured city's times. With the registered
version you can change these cities. In the City's dialog box enter the city names
and the zone the city is in, entered as the hours difference from GMT. Note, for
half zones a half hour out enter nnn.5 where nnn is the hours difference. Eg. Bombay
  is 5.5

  NEW - Daylight Saving Time

If you tap just above a timezone you toggle whether that zone is considered in
Daylight Saving Time. The zone is then marked with a small arrow. This is not exactly
accurate, as there could be more than one country in that zone who have different
daylight saving entry/exit dates. People are Usually only concerened with one country
in that zone, so it's near enough.

   ----IMPORTANT----
NOTE: when setting Daylight Saving Time on to your local zone, the program considers
that the system clock time has already been adjusted for Daylight Saving Time!!!

  NEW - City popup lists

You can now tap on the city names at the bottom of the screen to popup a list
of known cities which you can select from. The list shows the city name, GMT
difference, and IDD dialing code for that city.

If you want to compile your own city database just use the supplied Win95 program
'MakeCities.exe'. This takes as input a text file (sample included is called
'cities.txt'), and outputs a .PDB file which you can install onto your Pilot.
