1. Introduction
===============
Currency Calculator is a combination of unit converter and standard
calculator, very easy to use. Up to 15 conversion categories can be defined
with 200 items in each. Unit names can now be 10 characters long. As an
addition, CurrCalc can convert temperature (F->C and C->F) and angles
from the form HMS to H(decimal) and vice versa.

- Calculator functions: +, -, x, /, 1/x, x^2, sqrt, e^x, ln, 10^x, log, y^x,
sin, cos, sign changing,percentage calculations and simple date calculations.

Additional functions:
--------------------
- All units of the same category can be recalculated at the same time.

- Values of previously defined units can be viewed or changed by just
one tap on the region under unit names.

- Each category names and values can be exported/imported to/from Memo
Pad memo. Fields are delimited with TAB character. That way, you can export
(for example - currencies) to Memopad memo, edit them on your desktop
computer, and after hotsync import them to CurrCalc.

- CurrCalc has dual time display, i.e. it can display two different times,
according to time zone settings in "Preferences" menu option. It also
displays current date and battery voltage.

- Numbers are displayed with thousand separator. Comma (",") or dot (".")
can be set as thousands separator with "Prefs" application ("Formats" option).

- Number of decimal places can be defined in the range from 0 to 7 and there
is also "Float" (F) option for displaying all possible decimal digits
(without ending zeros).

- "Weight & Balance" can be started from CurrCalc choosing "Utils/W&B"
menu option

===============
2. Installation
===============
You can install CURRCALC.PRC with INSTAPP.EXE installation tool.

You can also install CurrC_DB.PDB which contains weight, length, area
and volume units with their conversion rates.

3. Instructions
===============

Main form menu options
----------------------
"Conversion Rates" - displays form for entering currentcategory unit
names and rates

"Preferences" - displays form for setting time zone and daylight saving options

"Registration" - form for entering registration information which will be
supplied to you upon registration

"About CurrCalc" - displays information about author and user
(if it is registered)

"Utils/W&B" - starts "Weight & Balance" if it is installed on your PalmPilot.

"Conversion Rates" form menu options
------------------------------------
"Export to Memo Pad" - exports units in current category to Memo Pad memo in
TSV (tab delimited) format. CurrCalc will append category name and current
date to first line of exported memo.

"Import from Memo Pad" - imports names and values from Memo Pad memo.
Fields can be delimited with any number of tabs. TAB delimited comment
may be added to each line of text to be imported. CurrCalc has a limit
to display only first 100 memos in choosen category.

Entering values
---------------
If:
100 USD  = 185.55 DEM = 662.00 Kn (Kn - Croatian currency)

then you must enter:
USD = 100.00
Kn  = 662.00
DEM = 185.55

Another example:
----------------
If:
1 foot = 12 inch = 304.8 mm

then you must enter:
inch =  12.0
foot =   1.0
mm   = 304.8

Tapping on the arrow between unit names will reverse direction of
conversion. When you do this, the arrow '-->' changes to '<--'.

You can use CurrCalc as a standard calculator. When the '=' button
changes to 'Calc', you can either do a currency calculation by tapping on
'Calc', or another standard operation by tapping on the operators (+ - x
or /) or by entering a new number. Numbers can be entered either by
tapping on the number "keys", or by writing them in the graffiti area.

Percentage calculations can be done as follows: (N1 and N2 are the
numbers you are entering):

	Your input:		Result:
	-----------		-------------------
	N1 x N2 % 		N1 x N2 / 100
	N1 + N2 %		  N1 + (N1xN2/100)
	N1 - N2 %		  N1 - (N1xN2/100)

You can change a value for previously defined unit without using the
"Conversion Rates" menu option.

Any number displayed on the calculator screen can be stored to one
of two choosen units. Just tap on a region under unit name.
The number must be positive and greater then 0. If the number is zero,
the currently set conversion rate is displayed. With these features,
the user never has to refer to the conversion table unless adding new units.

Sign of displayed number is changed by tapping on "+/-" button.

Buttons "STD" (standard), "LOG/EXP" and "TRIG" change the purpose of some buttons.

With "C->F" and "F->C" buttons you can do a temperature conversion
between Celsius and Fahrenheit and vice versa.

After tapping on "All" button, unit conversions are run on all
defined units and results are displayed in a separate window.

"#dec" button serves for setting up a number of displayed decimal
places in the range from 0 to 7. There is also "F" - floating point
option.

---------
You can convert angles from the HMS to H(decimal) form and vice versa.

Example:

Your input: 25.3052 (25 degrees, 30 minutes, 52 seconds)
Tap on "TRIG" button and then "HMS->" button
Result is: 25.514444 (25.514444 degrees)
CurrCalc will display previously set ("#DEC" button) number of decimals.

Another example:

Your input: 38.26 (38.26 degrees)
Tap on "TRIG" button and then "->HMS" button
Result is: 38.1536 (38 degrees, 15 minutes, 36 seconds)

--------
Date calculations

Date must be entered in the form DD.MMYYYY
You can add or substract number of days from a date.

Example:

You want to add 45 days to December 25th 1997.
Your input: 25.121997
Tap on "TRIG" button and then "+D" button
Enter 45
Tap on "=" button
Result is: 8.021998 (February 8th 1998)

Another example:

You want to substract 120 days from March 10th 1997.
Your input: 10.031997
Tap on "TRIG" button and then "-D" button
Enter 120
Tap on "=" button
Result is: 10.111996 (November 11th 1996)

---------
There is "Preferences" menu option, where time zones of your (Palm)Pilot
time and of the place (country) you are currently in are set.

On main screen, you can tap on the region where time, date and battery
voltage are displayed and then time (and date if necessary) display is
changed from Pilot's to local time and vice versa.
There is also a little letter right of time which indicates what time
is displayed. Letter "P" is for Pilot's and "L" for local time.
