Install the Image Viewer (viewer.prc) as you would any other PalmPilot
application using the 3Com Install Tool.

Installing Images
-----------------

Use the PalmPilot Image Converter (pimg.exe) to create image files compatible
with Image Viewer.

If you checked the auto-install option when creating images, your images will
automatically be installed the next time you hotsync the PalmPilot.

Otherwise, install the images on you PalmPilot using the 3Com
Install Tool. Images will have a file name ending with .pdb

Image List View
---------------

The main screen of the Image Viewer presents a list of images which can be
viewed and has a 'View Image' pushbutton and an 'Image Details' pushbutton
at the bottom of the screen. Each entry in the image list contains the
image's name, its size and a note icon if a note is attached to the image.

Tap an image's name while the 'View Image' pushbutton is selected to view the
image.

Tap an image's name while the 'Image Details' pushbutton is selected to view
information about the image and to access the option to delete the image.

Tap an image's note icon to view or edit a note attached to the image. To
create a note for an image which doesn't already have a note, tap the area
to the right of the image's dimensions.

The following Image Viewer menus are accessible from the main image list
view:

Info - Help
-----------
General help information

Info - Shareware Info
---------------------
Information on how to register Image Viewer

Info - About
------------
Copyright and version information

Options - Preferences
---------------------
Opens a dialog box with several preferences options. The first two options
define the behavior of the PalmPilot hardware buttons. The third option is
a checkbox to enable or disable the option to backup images to your PC.

Options - Delete Images
---------------------
Opens a dialog box where you can select the category to delete all images
from. Select 'All' to delete all images on your PalmPilot. Hidden images
are not deleted.

Display - Adjust Colors
-----------------------
This menu option brings up the Adjust Colors screen for adjusting the four
grayscale levels for grayscale images. The colors adjustments do not affect
the normal PalmPilot screen or black and white images.

Display - Default Colors
------------------------
Use this menu option to restore the grayscale levels to their default values.

Image View
----------

If an image is larger that the PalmPilot's screen (bigger than 160 by 160),
drag the pen along the image to scroll it.

To return to the Image List View, tap the silk-screened 'menu' button.

To view, edit or create a note for the image, draw an 'N' in the Graffiti
area.

Image Details View
------------------

The Image Details dialog box presents information about the image such as the
image width, height, size and type.

You also have the option to change the image's category, set the image as
private or delete an image from the Image Details dialog box.

Image Notes View
----------------

The Image Notes view displays any text associated with an image. It
functions
in much the same way as the PalmPilot Memo Pad application. Tap the 'Done'
button to return to the image list view. Tap the 'View' button to view the
image. Tap the 'Delete' button to remove all text associated with the image.
The text size can be switched between the small font and the larger font by
tapping either the large 'A' pushbutton or the smaller 'A' pushbutton.

Notes
-----

Use the contrast dial on the left side of the PalmPilot to adjust the
display.

Whenever the PalmPilot needs to present a dialog box (such as an alarm, the
"Find" dialog box, or the App Picker) while viewing an image, Image Viewer
will return to the Image List View.
