When all else fails read the instructions......

Here they are...

LYNKS 85 is a program that transfers variables between a TI-85 Calculator
and a computer. This is currently the unfinished Beta version of the
program I'm releasing it to get some feedback on how it can be improved.

The program is for the most part self explanitory {I Hope :)} so I won't
spend a lot of time explaining how it works. (Plus i'm really bad
at writing documemtation so if you like doing that sort of thing....:)

Some features haven't been implemented yet. These include:
- Online Help
- Single Variable Save Function
- Receive Backup Function

I haven't had time to write the link functions for different cables
so this release only supports the '4 Buck Serial Link'.
(For information and a scmatic see www.ticalc.org)

Bugs:
  - I'm sure there's many I just wish i knew about them :)

If the program locks up anywhere try pressing Scroll Lock
There's a debugging subroutine that aborts the program cleanly loaded into
the keyboard handler, so pressing Scroll Lock will terminate
the program at anytime.

Disclamer:

(What a sad world we live in where this is necessary)

my mother's fault, or my wife's fault or my etc....

fixit right up.

Thanks to all my beta testers, expect a new version soon!

Revision History

0.6 - Initial Beta Release
0.7 - Fixed several small bugs
     - Replaced the string input function, LYNKS 85 now handels
       text inputs better.
     - Added ability to select serial port (finally!)
     - Fixed the annoying recieve-byte-occationaly-locks-up bug
(About time I tracked it down, there was an error in the
info I was given about the link port specs.)
     - Implemented several other smaller features
     - LYNKS 85 now checks the status of memory before trying to load
another variable, finally no more run-time errors #103
0.8 - Directory sub-system compleatly re-written, the user won't notice any
difference but I'm a lot more proud of it!
