Link-85 version with MDA, Hercules Monographic, and CGA compatibility for use on IBM-compatible PC's. The TI Graphics Team is releasing LINK85X.EXE, a freeware program, for use by the public domain. It is a modification of the LINK-85 product software. With LINK85X.EXE, users can transfer data between their TI-85 and a PC and print data via their PC. This version, however, will work with all video adapters, including MDA, Hercules Monographic, and CGA, as well as EGA, MCGA, and VGA. LINK85X.EXE works almost exactly like the current LINK-85 product, except for the fact that programs, data, etc. can only be saved to Grouped Files. Data cannot be saved to Individual Files. The other difference is in the appearance of Special Characters on the PC. Special Characters that appear in the names of variables on the TI-85 will appear on the PC screen as their corresponding ASCII character as defined by the video card you are using. Therefore, these characters may appear as strange looking characters on the PC screen, rather than what you see on your TI-85 screen. This version of LINK-85 is being released per the large demand GRAPH-TI members have expressed for it. We hope that you will find this useful. The LINK85X software is provided "AS-IS". TI makes NO WARRANTIES, either express or implied, with regard to this software and assumes no obligation of support for the software.
