A text breakout game. Much faster than the graphical version (CASSE) but not as slick. After loading this program onto your TI-85, type the command 0->HiSc (-> is, of course, the STO> key) to initialize the high score tracker. When you run BRICK, a banner will be displayed. Hit Enter, and the playing field will be displayed. Hit Enter again, and the ball will start moving. Left and right arrows move the cursor; to move slowly hit them and release. Holding it down increases the speed of the paddle. The score is displayed in the upper-right corner, and the number of balls left in the upper-left. Hitting a brick in the bottom row gets you one point, in the top row gets you two. It is possible to bounce the ball between the two rows. Other interesting buttons are F4 and F5 (move to paddle instantly to the ends of the display), UP arrow (laser, costs 10 points but is great for getting rid of the last few pesky blocks), ENTER (pause), and EXIT (stops the program instantly). When you finish the game, it checks your score against a high score figure. If you made a high score, it asks for your initials (maximum of three letters), and remembers it. Otherwise, it displays the high score and ends.
