Similar to Minesweeper for Windows. Three levels of difficulty. | Mines v1.2 by Brian Hill (bhill@qm.choate.edu), created November, 1994 This game is very similar to the Minesweeper game that comes with Windows. In the main menu, choose the easy, hard, or impossible level. If you want a real challenge, try the impossible level; even I have not been able to beat it yet!!! Before starting a new level, wait a while. It takes some time to create each level. Once the level is created, the level number and the number of mines in that level are displayed. Press enter to continue. In the playing field, you are placed in the lower left hand corner, but you can start anywhere. To uncover a block to see if there is a mine there, press DEL. Note: If you have not uncovered any mines yet and when you press DEL it does nothing, then there is a mine there. This is a safety I put in so that you cannot hit a mine on your first try. If you uncover a mine, then a * will be displayed, and a new field will be created. If you do not hit a mine, then a number will be displayed. That number tells you how many mines are in the 8 blocks surrounding that block. If the number is 0, then there are no mines aroung that block. In this game, you must uncover all of the 0s yourself. Once you have uncovered all of the blocks that do not contain mines, then you will go on to the next level. There are five levels, and at the completion of the third level, you have won the game.
