MATRIX This program is designed to help in saving data stored in lists either by the CBL or other entry to a matrix so it can be stored for later use. It can also be used for selecting of columns from a matrix to store in L1 and L2 so statistical analysis can be done. A matrix is used to store the data to free the lists for use in analysis of data. Larger data sets from spreadsheet or other data files can be transferred to a matrix using the computer link and then be selected with this program for statistical analysis. Remember you can store one matrix into another with the STORE key on the calculator. Used together with the Link program on the computer you can transfer data from various sources to the calculator from analysis. There are two choices TO MATRIX and FROM MATRIX. The TO MATRIX selection provides you with the choices L1-L2 to L1-L6. You can selected the number of lists you wish to store in the matrix A. It is assumed that all lists have the same number of entries. The length of L1 is used for the number for each list. Any list shorter that L1 will cause an error in the program. This can be used for data collected with the CBL or entered by the user. In addition to all the list being the same length, they must start with L1 and continue on in order. The FROM MATRIX selection will allow you to select one column from matrix A and store it in L1. Or select any two columns from just matrix A or one each from matrix A and B to store in L1 and L2. Before using this selection you should verify that you have stored the desired matrix in A or A and B. If you select one variable, you will be asked the column number you wish to select from matrix A and that column will be stored in L1. If you select two variables, you can select both L1 and L2 from matrix A or L1 from matrix A and L2 from matrix B. For either choice you will enter the column you wish and the data from the columns will be stored in L1 And L2. Matrix A and matrix B may have columns of different length.
