This is a beta release of my new game, Arena.  Keep in mind that this is a BETA release, and far from finished.  I just released it in order to get feedback about the general feel of the game.  I know this may seem premature, and I may even have the next release out within 2 days, but I just that people would like to know what I am working on.

Arena is an RPG style fighting game.  If you have ever played the BBS game Blademaster, it is very much like that, except without the graphics.

The game is fairly straightforward.  In the upper left is your name, experience, and hit points.  You are presented with menus from which to choose.  At the moment the only choice is the Arena, which is the main arena you fight.  When you enter the Arena, you are prompted to enter the level of monster you wish to fight.  Currently there are 3 levels of monsters, but there will be more.  For each level there are 4 different types of monsters possible to fight, each one of a different diffulculty.  Then there is a menu, which you can only fight right now, but later there will be the run option.  If you die, the game ends.  If you win, your experience gets increased and your Hit points restored and you go back to the main menu.  In this release the experience serves no real purpose, as you can't go up levels.

Limitation in this release:

Can only 5 damage
No levels
Only 3 levels of monsters to fight


Things to be in the next release (don't bother asking about them):

Labels for the EXP and HP
Ability to save your game.
Option to start again and name your own character.
Fix up of some displays.
Levels!
Possibly more monsters (They would be too diffulcult to fight though)


Future release plans:

Gold
Weapons with different damages
9 levels of monsters
Run option
Healer
Better hit and damage routines


Anything else you think should be in the game.
