I have some information on connectors for the HP-48, but I have not found a
source yet.  Here's the info ...

Mfr:  DuPont Electronics

Specs:  Connectors are part of the "Minitek System".
        Description "Crimped-wire receptacle housing headers".
        Holes are on 2mm (0.079 inch) centers.
        Posts are 0.002 inch (0.05 mm) square.
        Posts are 0.002 inch (0.05 mm

Parts:  For each cable, you will need

        1 ea  #69305-004  Single-row housing, 4-pin header
        4 ea  #77138-001  Crimp terminals for 20-30 ga wire

Newwark couldn't even find them to order them.  If anyone has better luck,
please let me know.
